The LDA-908V-2 from Vaunix is a 2-Channel Digital Attenuator that operates from 200 to 8000 MHz. It can provide up to 90 dB of attenuation in 0.1 dB steps with an attenuation accuracy of 0.25 dB. This attenuator has 2 independently controlled attenuator paths and offers easy programmability for fixed attenuation, sweep attenuation ramps, and fading profiles directly from the included Windows or macOS GUI. It supports both USB and Ethernet interfaces and the USB port uses a native HID interface to avoid the difficulties inherent in using older serial or IEEE-488 interfaces implemented over USB.
The password-protected Ethernet interface of this attenuator is configurable for static IP or DHCP with the ability to assign the HTTP port for enhanced security. It supplies LabVIEW drivers, Windows API DLL files, macOS dylib files, Linux drivers, and Python examples for users who wish to develop their own interface.
This attenuator (or multiple of them) can be operated remotely from a PC or self-powered hub. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 95 mA of current. This digital attenuator is available in a module that measures 5.00 x 1.97 x 0.86 inches and has SMA (female) connectors. The attenuator is ideal for Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi 6E, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, microwave radio fading simulators, engineering/production test labs, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.
