The WaveMaster 8000HD from Teledyne LeCroy are Oscilloscopes with bandwidths from 20 to 65 GHz. These 4-channel oscilloscopes have a 12-bit resolution with a maximum sample rate of 320 GS/s. They are designed to support the entire development cycle – from first-silicon characterization, and link validation over channels, to debugging – across the entire protocol stack to enable faster time-to-market. These oscilloscopes offer powerful, flexible test automation tools and capabilities to improve workflow and minimize setup errors. They include a class-leading PC system for fast waveform processing and reduce the time spent waiting for measurements to complete.
The WaveMaster 8000HD oscilloscopes simplify the characterization and compliance testing requirements with QualiPHY® automated test options. QualiPHY is Teledyne LeCroy’s automated software test framework for performing standardized tests on high-speed serial interfaces. QualiPHY automation software is available for PCI Express, USB, DDR, DisplayPort, HDMI and other technologies. They have 8 Gpts of memory on all four channels to capture intermittent or one-off events which may only occur over long timespans. These oscilloscopes utilize differential probes with up to 30 GHz bandwidth to enable visibility into signals anywhere in the system under test.
These oscilloscopes use CrossSync PHY software integration that merges the functions of a Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscope with a PCI Express or USB protocol analyzer to ensure interoperability with other devices. They have flexible inputs that capture all critical device signals using passive probes and current probes alongside high-speed analog inputs and digital signals. The WaveMaster 8000HD oscilloscopes combine high-speed and sideband testing into a single instrument that enables users to debug USB Type-C® system interoperability failures. These oscillators support complete PHY and PHY-logic layer oscilloscope solutions for USB4®, Thunderbolt™, USB 3.2/2.0, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB power delivery, all over the USB Type-C Connector. The QualiPHY software automates all multi-lane USB-C transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) compliance tests using a single, friendly user interface.
The WaveMaster 8000HD oscilloscopes have a 15.6” (1920 x 1080 pixels) color capacitive touchscreen display and can display up to 40 traces simultaneously with display channel, zoom, memory, and math traces. They include Ethernet, USB, and GPIB (optional) interfaces and support remote control via Microsoft COM Automation, or via LeCroy Remote Command Set. These oscilloscopes require an AC supply from 90 to 264 V and consume less than 1250 W of power. They are available in enclosures that measure 381 x 527 x 410 mm (with handles and protective cover).
