The PXIe-5820 module from NI is a baseband Vector Signal Transceiver with 1 GHz of complex I/Q bandwidth. It combines a wideband I/Q digitizer, wideband I/Q arbitrary waveform generator, and high-performance user-programmable FPGA into a single 2-slot PXI Express module. The VST has a dynamic range of up to -75 dBc and a noise floor of -150 dBm/Hz. It has better than -50 dB EVM performance for higher order modulation schemes such as 802.11ax 1024 QAM. The baseband VST is ideal suited for a wide range of applications including envelope tracking power amplifier test; the generation and analysis of wideband waveforms such as 5G, 802.11ax, and LTE-Advanced Pro; and baseband I/Q test of wireless and cellular chipsets.
