The IVQ-3005 from InnoSenT is a VCO Radar Transceiver that operates from 24 to 24.25 GHz. It is based on advanced SiGe MMIC technology and includes an integrated pre-amplifier for a detection range of up to 300 m. This transceiver features two receiving antennas to compare phases and allows the measurement of the angle of arrival in a defined area. The integrated VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) supports CW (continuous wave), FSK (frequency shift keying), and FMCW (frequency modulated continuous wave) modes. It can measure movement, velocity, direction, presence, distance, and angle. This transceiver requires a DC supply of 5.8 V and consumes less than 450 mA of current.
In Tx side, this transceiver delivers an output power (EIRP) of up to 30 dBm with a phase noise of -63 dBc/Hz. In Rx side, it provides an IF gain of up to 62 dB with a noise figure of less than 17 dB, has a quadrature phase imbalance of ±10° and an amplitude imbalance of ±3 dB. In Tx mode, the antenna provides a gain from 17.5 to 19 dB and a side lobe suppression of 30 dB while in Rx mode, it provides a gain of 14.5 dB and a side lobe suppression of 25 dB. The IVQ-3005 is available in a package that measures 117.6 x 87.6 mm and is suitable for long range traffic applications such as velocity measurement, vehicle counting, speed enforcement, lane specific vehicle detection and other traffic or industrial applications.
