The IVS-979 from InnoSenT is a K-Band VCO Transceiver that is designed for traffic monitoring applications. It has a Transmit frequency from 24 to 24.25 GHz with an output power (EIRP) of more than 17 dBm. On the Rx side, it provides a gain of 40 dB and has an output impedance of 100 ohms. The transceiver is based on advanced SiGe MMIC technology and can be operated in FSK and FMCW modes. It can provide the 1/x divider output for VCO tuning slope linearization.
The sensor provides a special RF design for maximum sensitivity in long range applications such as traffic monitoring or speed enforcement. This radar transceiver can detect movement, velocity, distance, presence, and direction via stereo (dual channel) operation.
The transceiver requires a DC supply of 5.5 V and consumes under 170 mA of current. It is available in a RoHS-compliant module that measures 120 x 70.5 x11.4 mm and has an operating temperature range from -30 to +60°C.
