The K-HC1 from RFbeam Microwave is a Radar Transceiver that operates in the K-Band from 23.5 to 24.5 GHz. It includes a low-phase noise, PLL controlled transmitter and a superhet receiver with an IF of 10 MHz. In Tx mode, it delivers an output power (EIRP) of up to 20 dBm, has a phase noise of -95 dBc/Hz (at 100 kHz offset), and spurious levels of -30 dBc. In Rx mode, it has a receiver sensitivity of -144 dBm, an LNA gain of 18 dB, and a noise figure of 4 dB. It includes a vertically polarized dual 32-patch antenna with a horizontal beam width of 25°, and vertical beamwidth of 12° and provides a Tx/Rx isolation of 60 dB. This radar transceiver requires a DC supply of 24 V and consumes 220 mA of current.
The K-HC1 has an asymmetrical narrow beam for long-distance detectors. It can be used as a sensitive Doppler sensor with I/Q output for speed and directional detection of moving objects. This transceiver has an external MMCX input that allows using an external oscillator for multi-module operation or low noise carrier. It is available in a module that measures 110 x 77 x 19 mm and can be controlled via a USB interface. It is ideal for long-range traffic measurement and supervision, long-range alarm systems, object speed measurement systems, measurement and research applications, and industrial sensor applications.
