The DARTS 9030-MS from dSPACE is an Automotive Radar Test System that operates from 23 to 26 GHz or 75 to 82 GHz. It has a bandwidth of 1200 MHz and a test range from 1.8 to 1000 m in 6 cm steps. This radar test system is based on industry-proven radar echo technology for testing radar sensors used in civilian vehicles and provides excellent signal resolution, precise range, and speed simulation making it possible to precisely define the size of objects. It has a modular and scalable design and multiple units can be combined to simulate the reflections of as many objects as required for road traffic. This radar test system is ideal for performing realistic tests of radar-based automotive applications like ADAS and AD.

The DARTS 9030-MS can perform simulations at different distances, speeds, and sizes in real-time. It has a dynamic range of more than 60 dB and range accuracy of less than 1 mm. This radar test system is operated from a host PC and also supports remote operation via a control interface. It covers all important radar sensor development steps: from chip design to sensor development and the testing of complete advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles.  The test system is suitable for radar sensor tests under the influence of surrounding components, end-of-line testing of radar sensors, radar transceivers testing, and performance and plausibility tests with radar sensors.
