The 23116 from ETL Systems is a 2x1 Redundancy Switch that operates in the L-band from 850 to 2150 MHz. It incorporates an RF detection system and automatic switching of one of two inputs to the output. The system monitors the main and standby signals. It has two inputs, and one output and provides an input-to-input/input-to-output isolation of 65 dB with a noise figure of 8 dB. The switch has auto and manual switching modes with an automatic switching time of 200 ms.
In auto mode, it switches from the main to the standby feed in the event of the failure of the main feed, if a standby feed is present. The switch also monitors the standby feed, and if this fails it will switch back to the main feed if present. In manual mode, it is switched from the front panel. Remote selection of manual and auto modes and remote switching from Main to Standby and vice versa is also possible. A contact-driven remote mode is also provided.
The 23116 requires an AC supply and also features dual redundant power supplies which are monitored via front panel LEDs. It can be remotely controlled via an RJ45 Ethernet port, RS232/RS485 serial interfaces, or locally via the front panel. This switch is available in an enclosure that measures 350 x 19 inches and has 50 ? SMA/N-type/BNC connectors or 75 ? BNC/F-type connector configurations. It requires an AC supply of 85-264 V and consumes less than 5 W of power under steady-state conditions.
