The XBee SX 868 from Digi is an RF Module that operates from 863 to 870 MHz with excellent performance and interference immunity along with LBT + AFA (Listen Before Talk and Adaptive Frequency Agility). The module can run either a proprietary DigiMesh or point-to-multipoint networking protocol utilizing a low-power Silicon Labs microcontroller and an Analog Devices ADF7023 transceiver, along with an integrated SAW filter which offers industry-leading interference blocking.
The XBee SX 868 module supports a wireless data rate from 10 to 80 Kbps. This module can deliver an effective radiated transmit power of up to 13 dBm and has a receiver sensitivity of -106 dBm @ 80 Kbps. It has a theoretical line-of-sight range of up to 14.5 km with a 2.1 dBi antenna.
The low-power CE/RED, ETSI (Europe) certified module has a built-in 128-bit AES encryption security framework and is available with U.FL or Pad antenna options. It has 13 digital I/O interfaces and 4-channel, 10-bit analog inputs.
