The XBee DigiMesh 2.4 from Digi is a wireless mesh networking RF module that operates in 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band. It transmits 1 mW of power, has a receiver's sensitivity of -92 dBm with an RF data rate of 250 kbps. This module has an indoor range of 30 meters, outdoor range of 90 meters and is available with multiple antenna options. This module can uses the DigiMesh networking protocol, it can be used as a node in a peer-to-peer mesh network that offers users added network stability through self-healing, dense network operation and support for sleeping routers, extending the operational life of battery dependent networks.
