The Sona NX611 from Ezurio is a 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.4 Combo Module. It is based on NXP’s IW611 Wi-Fi 6 chipset and has integrated power amplifier (PA)/low-noise amplifier (LNA). For Wi-Fi operation, it supports 20, 40 and 80 MHz channel bandwidths along with 1024-QAM modulation scheme, OFDMA, TWT and BSS coloring. This module can support 7 Bluetooth (BT) links or 16 Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) links. It supports Bluetooth features like BDR, EDR, BLE, LE 2 Mbps PHY and LE Coded (Long range PHY). The module has a 1x1 antenna for reliable connectivity in harsh RF environments and supports Secure Simple Pairing (SSP) and Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH).
The Sona NX611 requires a DC supply of 3.3 V. It is available in a small form factor SIP with a pluggable M.2 2230 type-E card and SMT M.2 packaging. This module can be controlled via SDIO 3.0 (Wi-Fi) and HS-UART (Bluetooth) interfaces. It supports the latest WPA2/WPA3 enterprise security standards and is ideal for industrial or medical IoT applications.
