The BM78 from Microchip is a fully-certified Bluetooth Version 4.2 module that operates from 2.402 to 2.480 GHz and provides a receive sensitivity of -92 dBm. The module has an integrated antenna with a Bluetooth stack on-board and is certified for FCC, IC, MIC, KCC, and NCC radio regulations. It supports GAP, SDP, SPP, and GATT profiles. Data is transferred over the Bluetooth link by sending/receiving data via transparent mode over UART, making it easy to integrate with any processor or Microcontroller with a UART interface. This Bluetooth SIG certified module is available in a compact surface mount package, 22 x 12 x 2.4 mm and is ideal for IoT, secure payment, home and security applications.
