The FMLR-72-STL0Z from Miromico is a Sub-GHz LoRa/LoRaWAN IoT Module that operates from 860 to 1020 MHz. It has been designed to provide wireless connectivity to devices and sensors with low data rates over long distances. This module integrates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller with built-in 192 KB flash memory, 20 KB RAM, and 6 KB EEPROM, RF network frontend, Semtech SX1272-based transceiver, antenna, and serial interfaces. It utilizes the LoRa modulation scheme and additionally supports ASK, OOK, GFSK, and GMSK modulation schemes.
The FMLR-72-STL0Z is capable of running the entire RF stack on the integrated ARM Cortex microcontroller and uses integrated flash and RAM memory units that allow sufficient resources to run advanced user applications. It also provides additional onboard flash memory to support Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates and additional data storage. This module allows the emulation of proprietary systems such as Nordic’s NRF905 or NRF9E5 with enhanced range coverage and additional flexibility. It requires a DC supply from -0.3 V to 3.6 V, consumes 15 mA of current, and is ideal for applications with small-sized batteries.
The module includes a wireless stack that can be updated via SWD or UART bootloader to support fast prototyping and development. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 14.0 x 19.5 x 2.0 mm and is designed for healthcare, industry 4.0, smart agriculture, smart building, smart city, smart metering, smart retail, supply chain and logistics, and asset tracking applications.
