The CC200A-LB from Quectel is a Satellite Communication Module that is designed to provide communications in remote areas without cellular network coverage. It operates in the L-band from 1626.5 – 1660 MHz/1668 – 1675 MHz (Tx) and 1518-1559 MHz (Rx). This module supports Inmarsat GEO, provides reliable global connectivity over the IsatData Pro (IDP) satellite service, and features two-way communication, low latency, and nearly real-time reporting capabilities. It also supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS GNSS constellations. The module requires a DC supply of 6 V.
The CC200A-LB delivers an uplink data rate of 6.4 Kbps and a downlink data rate of 10 Kbps with a typical latency of about 20 s for 100 bytes. It has a cold start time of 28 s, a warm start time of 25 s, and a hot start time of 1 s with an autonomous accuracy of 1.5 m. This module and can be controlled via UART, I2C, ADC & GPIO interfaces. It is available in an LCC+LGA package that measures 38.00 x 37.00 x 3.35 mm and is ideal for use in industrial asset-tracking applications in poor network conditions where the network connectivity is scarce or unavailable, such as transportation, maritime, heavy equipment, mining, oil and gas, and agriculture.
