The KG200Z from Quectel is a LoRa Module that operates in the LoRa frequency bands from 470 to 510 MHz and 862 to 928 MHz. It has a receiver sensitivity of -138 dBm with a range of 2–5 km in towns and 10–15 km in suburbs. This module supports LoRa, (G)FSK, (G)MSK and BPSK modulations along with LoRaWAN standard protocol and has incorporated AES hardware encryption for enhanced security. It is based on the STMicroelectronics STM32WLEx series microcontroller, a LoRa System-On-Chip platform designed for ultra-low power consumption and compatibility with the LoRaWAN protocol. This module has an integrated ARM Cortex-M4 core and built-in power management unit, power amplifier, low noise amplifier, and RF transceiver switch.
The KG200Z can connect to IoT devices via wireless internet from a local to a worldwide network offering secure end-to-end communication, mobility, and localized services for IoT applications. It has exceptionally strong anti-interference, high sensitivity, stable network connection and good transmission performance. This module is available in an LGA package that measures 12 x 12 x 1.8 mm and can be controlled via UART, SPI, I2C, and SWD interfaces. It is ideal for smart locks, door sensors, gas and water leak detection, pet tracking, indoor air quality sensors, HVAC monitoring, smart parking and traffic monitoring, utility metering, waste management, air quality monitoring, and asset management tracking applications.
