The SX-PCEAX from Silex Technology is a 2x2 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 Module that operates in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. It is certified to operate in Japan, US, Canada, and the European region. This module is based on the Qualcomm QCA2066 chipset and has integrated MAC, Baseband, RF, RF front end, and peripheral circuitry like power unit, reference clock, etc. It supports BPSK, QPSK, CCK, 16 QAM, 64 QAM, 256 QAM and 1024 QAM modulation schemes.
The SX-PCEAX can support two separate Wi-Fi networks simultaneously using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. It has seven 160 MHz channels available in Wi-Fi 6E, which provide six times the bandwidth capacity available on Wi-Fi 6 networks running in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidth. The module is equipped with a wide range of Wi-Fi 6 features such as Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO), and Target Wake Time (TWT) to enable high-speed communication and enhanced communication efficiency and stability of the system.
This module is available in three form factors that measure 18.0 x 14.0 x 1.9 mm (LGA SMT), 29.85 x 26.65 x 1.00 mm (Mini PCIe card half size) and 22.0 x 30.0 x 0.8 mm (M.2 Card type 2230-S3-E). It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V, consumes less than 870 mA of current in Tx mode and 170 mA of current in Rx mode. The module has 2 MHF4 antenna interfaces and is ideal for developing next-generation wireless LAN systems.
