The STM32WB1MMC from STMicroelectronics is a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.3 Module. It has an integrated chip antenna with an option for an external antenna and an integrated IPD for exceptional and reliable antenna matching. This antenna has built-in security features, such as secure firmware installation (SFI) for radio stack, PKA, AES 256-bit, RNG, PCROP, CRC, 96-bit UID and the possibility to derive 48-bit UEI. It has a dedicated Arm Cortex-M4 CPU with FPU and ART (adaptative real-time accelerator), up to 64 MHz speed, a dedicated Arm Cortex-M0+ for radio and security tasks, a 320-Kbyte flash memory, 48-Kbyte SRAM, 32 MHz radio, 32 kHz RTC crystals and an integrated SMPS. The module requires a DC supply from 1.71 to 3.6 V.
The STM32WB1MMC delivers a data rate of up to 2 Mbps, and has a TX power of up to +5.5 dBm with an RX sensitivity of -96 dBm. It can be controlled via SPI, I2C, GPIO, LPUART, USART and DMA interfaces. This module is available in a 77-lead LGA package that measures 10.0 x 6.5 mm and is ideal for home automation, wellness, healthcare, personal trackers, gaming & toys, beacons & accessories, and industrial applications.
