The Proteus-e from Würth Elektronik is a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth LE 5.1 Module that is designed for a wide range of applications. It delivers a maximum bitrate of 2000 kbps and has a line-of-sight range of up to 350 m. This module delivers a Tx power of up to 6 dBm and has an Rx sensitivity of -93 dBm. It is based on a Nordic Semiconductor nRF52805 radio chipset and has 24 kB of RAM with 192 kB of flash memory. The module provides advanced Bluetooth 5 radio modes like 1 Mbit and 2 MBit modes for faster data transmission. It has a configurable UUID and allows personalization of the Bluetooth LE profile to fuse with the user end product.
The Proteus-e requires a DC supply of 1.8-3.6 V and consumes 9.3 mA of current in Tx mode and 6.8 mA of current in Rx mode. It can be controlled via UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and GPIO interfaces. This module is available in a package that measures 7 x 9 x 2 mm with an antenna interface and is ideal for wireless communication applications in control systems, remote controls, sensors, etc.
