The MP-LNBC Series from Microwave Photonic Systems are Low Noise Block Downconverter Controller Modules that operate from 950 to 2500 MHz. They support a wide range of commercially available LNBs and are designed such that they can support both legacy installations requiring discrete logic level configuration as well as serial data bus control and monitoring. These LNB controllers support up to 6 programmable voltage output levels and also allow them to be customized according to the application. They have an internal power conditioning circuitry that compensates for losses associated with long cable runs while improving the EMI/EMC characteristics of the source power supply. The controller modules require a DC supply from 5-24 V.

The MP-LNBC controllers provide a status monitoring report of current consumption, unit temperature, and other BIT parameters through the RS-232/RS-485 serial interface. These controllers also include a 10 MHz reference pass-thru injection input. They are available in either plug-in or standalone flange mount packages that measure 76.20 x 93.98 x 32.00 mm with SMA-female connectors. These controller modules are ideal for universal LNB biasing, SATCOM system components, and laboratory applications.
