The MA24103A from Anritsu is an Inline Power Sensor with a frequency range from 25 MHz to 1 GHz. It is designed to take accurate average power measurements of CW and multi-tone signals from 2 mW to 150 W. This power sensor has a "dual path" architecture that enables True-RMS measurements over the entire frequency and dynamic range allowing users to measure CW, multi-tone, and digitally modulated signals. The forward direction path has a 4 MHz channel bandwidth with peak and comparator/integrator circuits that add measurement functions such as PEP power, crest factor, CCDF, and burst average power. The reverse direction power measurement capabilities include reverse power, reflection coefficient, return loss, and SWR.
The MA24103A is a complete miniature power meter and includes a microcontroller along with signal conditioning circuitry, ADC, and power supply. It requires a DC supply of 5 V (via USB) and consumes 180 mA of current. This power sensor can be used with a PC running Microsoft Windows® via USB and comes with PowerXpert™ application (version 2.1 or greater) for data display, analysis, and sensor control. The software supports features like data logging, power versus time graphs, and offset tables that enable quick and accurate measurements. It is available in a compact housing that measures 108 x 97 x 36 mm with N-type (female) connectors.
