The MA24406A from Anritsu is a USB Peak Power Sensor that operates from 50 MHz to 6 GHz. It executes real-time processing of power readings with a measurement speed of 100,000 measurements/s and has a dynamic range of -60 to 20 dBm. This sensor has a video bandwidth of up to 195 MHz, which enables it to measure the peak power of wideband modulated signals, such as in the 802.11ac, as well as pulses that are as narrow as 10 ns.
The MA24406A has a sampling rate of 100 MSamples/s (continuous) and 10 Gsamples/s (effective), thereby resulting in a time resolution of 100 ps and a rise time of 3 ns. This USB power sensor can measure even the smallest change in the signal and plot it for a complete picture of the signal behaviour. It comes with a PC software that has an intuitive user interface to configure and display results such as simple peak and average power, crest factor, pulse power analysis, and CCDF graphs.
This peak power sensor is designed to meet the challenges of signal measurements and characterization in wireless communication domain. It is available in a module with N-type (male) connectors.
