The PWR-8PW-RC from Mini-Circuits is a Smart Power Sensor that operates from 10 MHz to 8 GHz. This power sensor has a sampling rate of 20 Msps and a dynamic range from -60 dBm to + 20 dBm with a measurement resolution of 0.01 dB. It has a duty cycle of up to 99.9% and a rise/fall time of 50 ns. This sensor supports modulated, pulsed, and CW signal types and has a 10 MHz internal modulation bandwidth. It provides an additional 30 MHz of bandwidth using the video output port to provide additional analysis or use automatic level control circuits.
This PWR-8PW-RC has USB and Ethernet interfaces to either directly allow control from a PC or remotely measure the power over a network. It integrates software that provides peak and average power measurements, and statistical analysis of parameters such as crest factor, duty cycle, rise/fall time, and time domain plots for any signal type, including pulsed waveforms. The device also offers a user-friendly GUI application for Windows 7 or above and a full API that includes programming instructions for both Windows and Linux environments (both 32-bit and 64-bit systems). This RoHS-compliant sensor is available in a module that measures 4.85 x 2.50 x 1.20 inches with N-type (female) connectors and is ideal for pulse profiling, statistical signal analysis, ASK, FSK, OFDM, QAM, LTE modulations, VHF, UHF, L, S, and C-band radars, signal level calibration, and remote power monitoring applications.
