The Field Master™ MS2070A from Anritsu is a Handheld RF Spectrum Analyzer that operates from 9 kHz to 3 GHz. It conducts reliable and accurate RF measurements in a variety of general-purpose fields, labs, and manufacturing environments at an economical price. This spectrum analyzer has sweep speeds of up to 32 GHz/s in common low-noise configurations and can conduct a variety of “smart” measurements, including occupied bandwidth (OBW), channel power, and adjacent channel power (ACP). It has a dynamic range of more than 105 dB (at 2.4 GHz) and a DANL of -167 dBm with an optional built-in pre-amplifier. This analyzer comes with an 8400 mAh Li-ion battery which provides three hours of operation and features a 5 W RF input damage level protection from accidental over-power.
The MS2070A allows up to 6 traces to be set simultaneously with different detectors (averaging can also be applied to each). It provides alerts for new interfering or lost signals generated automatically and has upper/lower, envelope, and alarm limits standard for long-term spectrum monitoring applications. A zero span displays TDD and pulsed signals with a narrow resolution bandwidth (RBW) of 10 Hz to 5 MHz for accurate measurements of power over time.
The spectrum analyzer has a durable IK08-rated 10-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution that displays measurement results in large and clear formats. It is available in an enclosure that measures 290 x 212 x 96 mm weighs 3.8 Kg and has IP52 environmental protection when it is contained in the supplied soft carry case. It includes Ethernet and USB-C interfaces along with an optional Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/a/n interface to connect to wireless routers for common applications, including downloading digital maps and automatic software updates.
