The RFeye SenS Remote 100-18 from CRFS is a Remote Spectrum Receiver with I/Q Recording that operates from 9 kHz to 18 GHz. It combines the RF and edge-processing capabilities of the RFeye Node 100-18 together with the high-speed recording feature of the RFeye SenS family. This recorder can perform all the functions of a standard RFeye Node but with the addition of full-rate wideband I/Q streaming (100 MHz IBW).
The system uses a powerful COTS processor for secure rack-mounted recording and can be positioned in fixed, unmanned locations such as on a mast or tower. No data is stored on the remote receivers. The weatherproof remote receiver head/s are located as close to the antenna as possible to minimize cable losses. Data from the receivers is streamed via fiber-optic cables to COTS rack-mounted processors and storage media (SAN, NAS or RAID, for example) housed in a building or secure environmental enclosure. The data can be used to capture pattern-of-life information for evidentiary analysis, to generate libraries of high-value signals for manufacturing tests and measurements (T&M), or even to record native environments for pre-mission operational planning.
The SenS Remote 100-18 remote radio head provides excellent phase noise, noise figure, channel re-tune time, and spurious-free dynamic range parameters. Its multi-mission capability allows multiple concurrent measurements and geolocations to be performed and multiple users to connect simultaneously from remote locations. It comprises of high capacity high-speed, solid-state memory of 30+ TB, allowing full bandwidth recording of IQ data for up to 15 hours or more. This receiver includes the RFeye DeepView signal extraction and analysis software and the Node firmware.
The RFeye SenS Remote 100-18 includes 4x Gen 2.0 PCIe lanes providing a total throughput of up to 4 Gbps. The receiver has a sampling rate of 125 MS/s at a resolution of 16 bits I&Q and a sweep speed of up to 390 GHz/s. It is available in weatherproof housing that measures 16.3 x 15 x.8 x 10.2 inches with SMA connectors and is ideal for use as a true detect-to-analysis EW/SIGINT solution for use cases ranging from border security to EMCON training.
