The HH1077 from Datron is a Handheld Transceiver that operates in the VHF Band from 30 to 88 MHz. It offers 2,320 channels at 25 kHz spacing with 15 programmable preset channels available via a rotary knob and 100 additional channels available through a keypad. This transceiver supports simplex and half-duplex modes and provides a user-selectable output power of 500 mW, 2 W, and 5 W. It offers VOX for hands-free operation and whisper mode, is easy to operate, and is rugged and immersible by design. The transceiver includes a Li-ion 3900 mAh battery with an expected operation time of 20 hours, consumes less than 2.5 A of current in Tx mode, 0.6 A of current in Rx mode, and 80 mA of current in standby mode.
In the Rx chain, it features a dual conversion, superheterodyne receiver, and has a sensitivity of better than -116 dBm. The HH1077 has an LCD display and an alphanumeric keypad. It is interoperable in FM clear-voice mode with the PRC1077, the Spectre-V® series (PRC2100/2150), the HH7700, and most other single-channel 30-88 MHz VHF/FM radios using a 150 Hz tone-squelch or CTCSS squelch system. It is available in an MIL-STD-810 qualified (immersible per IP67 rating) housing that measures 13.97 x 6.36 x 4.57 cm and offers an optional embedded voice scrambler that provides an effective means of secure communications.
