The MAMF-011024 from MACOM is an RF Transceiver IC that operates from 21 to 27 GHz. This transceiver consists of a Low-noise amplifier (LNA), power amplifier (PA), Tx/Rx switch, bi-directional mixer, filtering, and LO frequency x2 multiplier with amplification. It operates either in receive or transmit TDD (Time Division Duplex) mode, and the RX and TX circuitry can be turned off during transmit and receive, respectively. The Tx/Rx switch can be operated independently of the power-up timing.
On the TX side, it provides an upconversion gain of 3 dB, an LO isolation of up to 48 dB, and an output noise of -85 dBm/Hz, On the RX side, it provides a downconversion gain of 11 dB with a noise figure of less than 3 dB and an LO isolation of up to 55 dB. The MAMF-011024 requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 150 mA of current in TX mode and 160 mA in RX mode. It is available in a RoHS-compliant 24-lead PQFN package that measures 4.0 x 4.0 x 0.9 mm and is ideal for unlicensed 24 GHz ISM band applications.
