The POLYPMI1000 from Polyphase Microwave is a Frequency Converter that operates from 4 to 8 GHz. It supports independent up-conversion/down-conversion or transceiver applications. The converter has two internal PLOs which alleviates the need for external LO sources. The primary PLO is capable of sourcing both the up-converter and down-converter in transceiver applications. The secondary PLO supports independent upconverter and downconverter applications that require different LO frequencies.

The POLYPMI1000 has a digital attenuator that provides an attenuation of up to 31.5 dB in 0.25 dB steps. It has a conversion loss of less than -14 dB and LO-RF isolation of -40 dBm. The controller is programmed via a Windows-based soft front panel or custom program using the supplied API manual. User settings are stored in non-volatile memory and recalled at power-up, enabling applications in target systems without a host computer. It is available in a case that measures 4.9 x 3.7 x 0.6 inches with an SMP connector.
