The Ku-Band High Power Transceiver from TRAK Microwave functions as a complete airborne Satcom solution. It integrates a GaN SSPA, upconverters, downconverters, and digital control technology and multiple Built-in-Test (BIT) functions. The HPT has a transmit frequency from 13.75 to 14.5 GHz and an IF Frequency from 950 to 1700 MHz. It products an output power of 25 watts with a gain of 53 dB. On the receiver end, it can down-convert a frequency from 10.7 to 11.7 GHz to the low band IF of 950-1950 MHz or from 11.7 to 12.75 GHz to the high band IF of 1100-2150 MHz with a gain of 20 dB. The Receive bands are selectable with commands over the Ethernet bus.
The TRAK HPT is ideally suited and qualified for commercial airborne environments, meeting all relevant specs for commercial air transport use, including DO-160G, Boeing and Airbus. The transceiver is available in a module that measures 17.5 x 13.6 X 2.5 inches, weighs 21 lbs and operates over a temperature range from -15 C to +55 C. This DO-160G 6.3.1A Compliant device is configurable to work with a wide range of satcom modems.
