The AWMF-0188 from Anokiwave is an Up/Down Converter IC that operates from 24 to 30 GHz covering the n258, n257, and n261 3GPP 5G bands. It supports Tx single-sideband up-conversion and Rx image-reject down-conversion functionality. This converter has 4 on-chip frequency multipliers that simplify board-level integration with external PLLs. It also includes an RF bypass mode in which the frequency-conversion function is bypassed, and the IC effectively functions as an RF gain block. This feature enables a scalable phased-array architecture without the use of numerous discrete amplifiers and switch components. It also includes autonomous temperature telemetry and rejection.
The AWMF-0188 is compatible with Anokiwave’s beamformer IC products sharing common mechanical and electrical interfaces and is designed for cascade integration from IF to the antenna and back. It is ideal for 3GPP-compliant 5G communications arrays, Satcom transceivers, and phased array applications.
