The ICAMU2430-A from iCana is an Up/Down Converter IC with an RF frequency from 24 to 30 GHz and an IF frequency from 2 to 9 GHz. It is a half-duplexity converter and uses low-side LO injection to perform single-sideband up-conversion and image-rejecting down-conversion. For up-conversion, this IC uses tunable sideband rejection and LO feedthrough calibration while for down-conversion, it implements tunable image rejection and I/Q imbalance optimization. It has an on-chip 4x LO frequency multiplier with tunable gain to accommodate the various LO driving power. This converter IC has a tunable LO harmonic rejection filter and supports 360° phase-shifting for synchronizing LO across multiple converters.
The ICAMU2430-A is available in a BGA package that measures 4.5 x 5.0 mm and is ideal for 3GPP 5G NR (FR2 band n257, n258, and n261), small cells for wireless communications infrastructure, customer premises equipment (CPE), repeaters, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), instrumentation and test equipment applications.
