The Wideband Microwave Transceiver from CAES operates from 0.5 to 18 GHz and has an IF frequency from 2.5 to 4.5 GHz. This SOSA-aligned transceiver is suitable for electronic warfare, ELINT and electronic support, surveillance, and attack applications. It has a modular design and can be configured to accommodate two up or two down conversion channels with an internal synthesizer in a single, 3U slice. This VPX RF payload card has an instantaneous bandwidth of 2 GHz and a tuning speed of less than 35 seconds. It requires DC supplies of 12 V and 3.3 V and consumes less than 75 W of power.
The Wideband Microwave Transceiver employs digitally controllable attenuators for enhanced noise performance or output power and linearity. It includes output power sensors for both the down and up conversion channels and supports temperature monitoring. This transceiver provides a gain of 25 dB and has an output P1dB of up to 20 dBm. It is available in a conduction-cooled, 3U single-slot enclosure.
