The TWN4 Slim from Elatec is an RFID Reader that operates at 125 kHz/13.56 MHz (LF and HF for NFC) and 2.4 GHz (Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)). This RFID reader has an integrated antenna and supports both NFC and BLE technologies, allowing the reader to read more than 60 RFID tags from LF and HF bands over a distance of up to 80 mm (LF/HF) or several meters (BLE). It consists of an NXP/LEGIC front-end with an on-board 18 KB flash memory for storing user-accessible non-volatile data. This RFID reader can either be used as a standalone unit connected to a PC or other devices (e.g. printers) equipped with a USB interface. It also has a very compact form-factor and an optimized design that enables smooth integration into almost any host system.
The TWN4 Slim supports authentication and includes one socket for secure access modules (SAM) cards This RFID reader has a customizable inlay design and integrated mounting holes that enable quick and easy installation into any industrial devices. It requires a DC supply from 4.3 to 5.5 V and consumes 135 mA (RF field on) and 70 mA (idle) of current. This RoHS-compliant reader is available in an ABS + PC enclosure that measures 65.50 x 45.50 x 4.00 mm. It is ideal for elevator, EV chargers, access, shop POS, ticket POS, document management, driver IDs, vending, parking, gaming, and industrial PC applications.
