The IDT 87 from ID Tech Solutions is an Integrated UHF RFID Reader that has been designed for automatic vehicle identification applications. It integrates an RFID reader and a circularly polarized antenna within the same enclosure. This reader delivers a programmable output power from 0 dBm to 30 dBm and can detect tags at a distance of up to 18 m (also depending on the tag and environment). It has a built-in Impinj Indy R2000 chip, requires a DC supply from 9 V to 24 V, and provides an option for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). This reader is suitable for parking lot management, ETC, warehouse management, employee/student tracking, vehicle management, and other tracking applications.
This integrated RFID reader operates in the ISM band from 865-867 MHz (India), 865-868 MHz (Europe), and 902-928 MHz (USA). It is based on the ISO 18000-6B, EPC Class 1 Gen 2 air interface protocol and uses answer, active, and trigger modes to communicate with the tags and other readers. This reader supports the frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) of fixed frequency transmission to prevent reader-to-reader and reader-to-tag interference. It is provided with DLL and a demonstration software source code for further development. The ID 67 has built-in serial interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, and Weigand 26/34 (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi optional) for monitoring and control. It is available in an IP68-rated Aluminum (with engineered plastic cover) enclosure that measures 298 x 298 x 105 mm and has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +60°C.
