The M800 Series from Impinj are RAIN RFID Tag Chips that meet the increasing demands of large-scale enterprise solutions. They have low power requirements and excellent readability that allows them to be used across a broad range of items ranging from apparel, electronics, sporting goods, and home goods, to other general merchandise. These tags are drop-in compatible with Impinj M700 series antenna designs and enable quick time-to-market. They feature enhanced AutoTune adaptive RF tuning that improves tag sensitivity for enhanced readability across a range of materials, tag form factors, and operating frequencies. These tags prevent multiple reads of the same chip to ensure hard-to-read tags can be read more accurately within a complex population of tags.
The M800 series consists of M830 and M850 chips with 128-bit EPC memory in M830 and 96-bit EPC memory and 32-bit user memory in the M850. Both chips are compatible with the GS1 UHF Gen2v2 protocol, which ISO/IEC standardized as 18000-63. These tags support a protected mode for data protection which makes a RAIN tag invisible to RAIN readers and can be returned to normal operation, and made visible to RAIN readers, using a secure PIN. They have an Integra suite of memory diagnostics tools that verify tag chip health and validate data encoding, enabling more reliable tags and consistent delivery of accurate data.
These RAIN RFID chips have an omnidirectional Impinj Core3D Antenna™ and a read sensitivity of -25.5 dBm. They utilize enhanced bonding technology with an updated bonding pad design to improve chip-to-antenna connection, enhancing tag reliability and manufacturability.
