The UCODE-9xe from NXP Semiconductors is a UHF RFID Chip for smart IoT applications. It has a read sensitivity of -24 dBm and a write sensitivity of -22 dBm. This chip has an EPC memory of 128 bits, a TID memory of 96 bits, and a 32-bit kill password. It has a Memory Safety System that protects data and ensures accuracy. The RFID chip includes an Error Correction Code (ECC) algorithm that safeguards EPC numbers by automatically detecting and correcting potential single-bit errors in the entire memory and can also be used to detect and flag multi-bit errors while the parity check detects possible changes to any manufacturer-programmed TID codes used in the application.

The UCODE-9xe is a drop-in replacement for the high-performance UCODE 9/UCODE 8 RFID chips with higher EPC memory. It is available in a die-on-sawn wafer package that has a diameter of 12 inches and is ideal for perishable-food tracking, real-time point-to-point tracking within the supply chain, omnichannel retail support with precise tracking, automated tool management, and high-speed store checkout applications.
