The Molding Tag from SAG is an Embeddable NFC Tag for use in high temperature environments. It is a hassle-free tag with both the antenna and chip integrated in a small form factor making it easy to add NFC functionality to electronic products. This tag uses the STMicroelectronics NFC Type 5-compliant ST25TV02K chip (following ISO/IEC 15693 protocol) and enables contactless communication between a device and NFC-enabled mobile phone via its RF interface. It offers enhanced protection and can operate in harsh environments at 200°C for 240 hours and at extreme 250°C temperatures for 24 hours.
The Molding Tag is available in a small and thin package that measures 6.7 x 6.7 x 0.75 mm and can be applied on non-metal items by using adhesive, epoxy potting or can be integrated via plastic injection. It is used for product authentication and counterfeiting in consumer electronics, equipment setup and configuration, process management and medical devices and surgical instrument identification.
