The EOS-232 U8 from TAGEOS is an On-Metal RFID Inlay for item-level tagging and inventory. It is based on NXP’s UCODE 8 IC which features a self-adjust capability, a product status flag for electronic article surveillance (EAS) applications, pre-serialized 96-bit EPC, and a brand identifier. The IC enables long read distance and fast inventory of dense RFID tag population due to high read and write sensitivity and fast encoding speed. It operates in the UHF band from 860 to 960 MHz and complies with global frequency standards. The inlay is compliant with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management systems and is available in dry and plastic-face delivery formats.
The EOS-232 U8 has a compact form factor with a smart antenna design that makes it suitable for a wide range of on-metal applications in retail segments such as beauty & cosmetics, and consumer electronics, in the food segment for quick service restaurants as well as in pharma & healthcare, and industrial automotive & aviation.
