The BPBS56 from Bonn Hungary Electronics (BHE) is a Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates in the S-band from 2025 to 2120 MHz. It delivers an RF output power (P3dB) of 25 W (44 dBm) with a gain of more than 65 dB. This power amplifier has harmonics of less than -60 dBc and a spurious of better than -80 dBc. It has a 1:1 hot redundant arrangement that increases the reliability of the system and can be installed directly to an antenna. This amplifier has a rugged construction that protects the amplifier against harsh outdoor environmental conditions. It can be controlled via an Ethernet and RS-485 (optional) interface. This SSPA is available in a compact IP67-rated enclosure that measures 460 x 870 x 205 mm with N-type (female) connectors and is ideal for use in S-band satellite communications systems as an uplink SSPA. It requires an AC supply of 110 – 240 V and consumes less than 120 W of power.
