The HPA 4413A from ND SatCom is a Power Amplifier (PA) that operates in the Ku-Band from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz. It delivers an output power of 400 W (TWT) with a small signal gain of more than 72 dB. This amplifier consists of a high-voltage section potted with all other electrical components coated to protect against humidity and dust. It has an option to integrate a block upconverter (BUC) and linearizer along with a waveguide switching system to further improve the performance.
The HPA 4413A has an intuitive touch screen display and WebUI with amplifier and system-level control functions, exportable log and measurement data files that can be obtained via an RJ45 Ethernet interface. It is available in a rack-mount enclosure that measures 600 x 483 x 133 mm with SMA/N-type input connectors and WR75 waveguide output interface. This amplifier greatly saves power costs, increases mean time between failures (MTBF) and significantly reduces fan noise in shelter racks. It requires an AC supply from 100 to 260 V and consumes less than 1250 W of power.
