The GaN X SSPA from TTi is a GaN-Based Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 7.9 to 8.4 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 200 W (~53 dBm) with more than 60 dB of gain. This amplifier has excellent linearity for maximum useable output power to provide customized linearisation independent of the modulation method used. It has a VSWR of less than 1.3:1 and includes a built-in output isolator for protection against reflected power. The SSPA supports optional 1:1, 2:1, and N:1 redundant configurations and also has options to increase the number of power stages and achieve higher output powers.
The GaN X SSPA has a noise power density of -75 dBm/Hz (7.9-8.4 GHz), spurious levels of -65 dBc, and harmonics of -60 dBc. It can be controlled via RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet interfaces. The amplifier is available in an indoor enclosure that measures 483 x 270 x 560 mm (air-cooled) with an N-type (female) input connector and WR112 waveguide output interface. It is ideal for government/defense SATCOM and indoor applications. The amplifier requires an AC supply from 90 to 264 V and consumes 800 W of power.
