The AirTRx 30Ka from Orbit is an Airborne Satellite Communication Terminal that operates at Ku-band or full ITU Ka-band frequencies. It delivers speeds of up to 130 Mbps and has been designed to work on LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO satellite networks. This satellite terminal has a built-in, step-track-based Advanced Control Loop for superior performance and has two (2) LRUs – antenna and MODMAN. The antenna with its RINC 600 4MCU MODMAN provides flexibility in terms of integration with third-party systems and platforms. It provides easy installation, ease of maintenance, and superior RF performance with a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The AirTRx 30Ka does not have a “keyhole” for continuous tracking and is cloud connectivity ready. It has a real 3-axis system – EL, Tilt, and AZ – for greater availability and reliability and is designed for heavy-duty multi-mission operation. This terminal is available in a radome-covered 12-inch (30 cm) package that supports unpressurized/pressurized vessel MODMAN installation. It is ideal for a range of business aviation aircraft from midsize and super-midsize (SMS) to large business jets. This satellite terminal complies with industry regulations and standards including Federal Communication Commission (FCC), European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), and RTCA DO-160G.
