The ThinAir GT 2517 from ThinKom is a SATCOM Antenna that operates from 17.7 to 21.2 GHz (Rx) and 27.5 to 31 GHz (Tx). It is approved to operate on commercial and government networks, including LEO, MEO and GEO constellations. This antenna ensures a low probability of intercept/detection and features inherent anti-jam robustness to operate in demanding EMI, EMC, and EMP environments. It provides a continuous 360° azimuth coverage and elevation coverage from +10° to +90° with beam agility of more than 250°/sec. It has a switchable circular (co/orthogonal) polarization with simultaneous dual-pol mode and has an axial ratio of 1.5 dB. This antenna incorporates ThinKom’s patented VICTS technology to provide excellent performance while maintaining an optimal SWaP profile.
The ThinAir GT 2517 is certified for Inmarsat GX+, Hughes Jupiter, Thales/SES-17 inFlyt, Avanti-Hylas, Eutelsat, WGS, O3b Classic mPOWER and Telesat Lightspeed networks. It supports data rates of up to 830 Mbps (downlink) and 200 Mbps (uplink) and has a network efficiency of up to 4 bits/Hz. This antenna is available in an enclosure that measures 2.8 x 1.1 x 0.2 m and complies with RTCA/D0-160G environmental standards.
