The ASLE-L-200D from Polaris is a Satellite Link Emulator that operates in the L-Band from 950 to 1450 MHz (extendable up to 1950 MHz). It includes an L-band frequency converter, has a bandwidth of 200 MHz and provides a gain of up to 0 dB. This link emulator exhibits a time delay from 0 to 530 ms with a step size of 1 μs, a Doppler shift from -6 to +6 MHz with a step size of 1 Hz and an attenuation from 0 to 40 dB with a step size of 0.5 dB. It has spurious levels of less than -45 dBc (in-band) and a VSWR of less than 1.5:1. This emulator provides accurate reproductions for propagation time delay, path loss, and Doppler frequency shift for closed-loop testing of geostationary satellites and earth station terminals. It is designed to extend the propagation time delay of the PSLE series.
The ASLE-L-200D is available in a rack-mountable enclosure that measures 19.00 x 5.25 x 21.00 inches with a front panel (VFD and keypad) for local control and USB, RS-232 or RS-422/485 interface for remote control. It is ideal for satellite payload tests, UAV tests, VSAT tests, mobile transceiver tests, satellite modem tests, earth terminal tests, and satellite system integration test bed applications. This link emulator requires an AC supply of 90-240 V.
