The APLC Series from Anapico are 1 to 4 channel high purity signal generators that operate from 9 kHz to 12.75, 20, 40 and 54 GHz. They are ideally suited for a wide range of applications, where good signal quality, accurate and wide output power ranges, and very stable phase coherence among all channels are required. These signal generators have a high-stability OCXO reference that provides excellent frequency accuracy and stability. They also accept a wide range of external references from 1-250 MHz, including the commonly used 10 MHz and 100 MHz for better phase synchronization.
The APLC Series of signal generators have a pair of AnaPico-specific high-frequency CLK ports that enable high-phase synchronization among the outputs of multiple AnaPico instruments with similar ports. They have a frequency resolution of less than 0.001 Hz, a power resolution of 0.01 dB, and a power range from -3 dBm to +12 dBm. These generators have harmonics of -65 dBc and an SSB phase noise of -144 dBc/Hz (at 1 kHz offset). They can be controlled by PC-based GUI software via USB, LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, or GPIB interfaces, and each interface allows for easy and quick communication using the SCPI 1999 command set. These generators support a customer-supplied API or programming examples for MATLAB, LabVIEW, or C++ to make the control implementation straightforward.
The APLC Series of generators are available in desktop enclosures that measure 9.1 x 15.5 x 3.8 inches or rack-mount enclosures (multi-channel) that measure 17.5 x 23.4 x 3.5 inches and have optional SMA (female), K-type (female), and 1.85 mm/2.4 mm (female) connectors. They require an AC supply from 100 to 240 V and consume less than 200 W of power.
