The E-LynX™ AR from Elbit Systems is a Multi-Channel Software-Defined Radio (SDR) that operates in VHF/UHF band from 30 to 512 MHz and in L-Band from 960 to 1240 MHz. It has 3 independent RX/TX channels with a channel bandwidth of up to 4 MHz (narrowband and wideband) and delivers an output power of up to 50 W (per channel). This SDR is based on SCA 2.2.2 platform-compliant radio architecture with red/black separation and has an integrated GPS receiver that enables radio position. It is ideal for airborne platforms including helicopters, transport aircraft & fighter jets and Mission Airborne Radio Computer (MARC) applications.
The E-LynX™ AR supports 8-DPSK, FM and AM modulation schemes for narrowband and GMSK, 16-QAM, 8DPSK and 64QAM modulation schemes for wideband. It supports multiple waveforms like Legacy WF for NB Clear (CLR) mode for analog voice (FM or AM), NB WF for narrowband voice & MANET IP data simultaneously and MANET wideband waveform (voice, data and video). This radio is equipped with a powerful mission computer system (MCS) for Mission Airborne Radio Computer (MARC) capabilities like A/B intuitive, accessible, effective, mission-focused applications such as situational awareness, collision warning, weapon target allocation and target sharing. The SDR can be controlled via MIL-STD-1553B/ARINC 429, Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps), RS232, RS422 and USB interfaces.
The E-LynX™ AR is compatible with E-LynX ground communication solutions and Elbit Systems’ Search and Rescue equipment. It supports the automatic consolidation of information for a Common Operational Picture (COP) between various members such as airborne, ground and bailed-out pilots using search and rescue radios. This SDR has an SEC mode for security and built-in encryption (Legacy and AES 256) for anti-jamming immunity.
