The RSWM-8X8R from Becker Nachrichtentechnik is a 8x8 Switch Matrix that operates from 100 kHz to 4 GHz. It has four inputs and eight outputs interconnected via a non-blocking matrix that can route a single input to multiple outputs simultaneously. This switch matrix has high channel isolation to ensure that signals in adjacent radio channels do not affect each other. It can be equipped with an optional high-pass filter designed to attenuate unwanted low-frequency (LF) and high-frequency (HF) signals, such as those from local AM radio stations.
This matrix integrates modern solid-state switching elements to ensure quick response to operating inputs and many switching cycles with minimum maintenance. This matrix has high linearity and a low noise figure to ensure excellent signal integrity from the antenna to the receiver.
The large bandwidth covers most commercial communication bands, especially those traveling long distances. These include short-wave transmission at one end and private 4G/5G bands at the other end.
The RSWM-8X8R comes in variants designed for either DC or AC mains power supply, catering to both stationary and mobile applications. Both variants support a broad input voltage range, whether AC or DC. It is available in a 19-inch, 1U enclosure that measures 482 x 44 x 455 mm with SMA-female connectors.
Depending on the customer's needs, the system can be managed using the intuitive web-based graphical user interface or through SCPI-based ASCII commands via its interface ports.
