The DEV 1986 from DEV Systemtechnik is an L-Band Distributing Switch Matrix ARCHIMEDES that operates from 950 to 2150 MHz. It supports an input/output configuration of up to 64x64 with each input port’s LNB power option delivering switchable power. The matrix provides a variable gain from -20 to 30 dB and has a noise figure of less than 14 dB. It provides 60 dB of isolation between the input and output and has an intermodulation distortion of less than -40 dBc. The matrix includes a fully integrated spectrum analyzer (ISA), redundant power supplies, and supports RF sensing.
The Switch Matrix has an integrated TV Receiver featuring a multi-touch display for content monitoring. It has optical inputs compatible with optical LNB, dual fiber output Ku-band PLL LNB, from Swedish Microwave. This module can be controlled via Ethernet (RJ45), SNMP, and includes an easy-to-use DEV web interface that allows remote control over a network.
The DEV 1986 is available in a 4U enclosure that measures 483 x 178 x 631 mm with various input and output options that include 75 Ohm, F (f), or BNC (f), or 50 Ohm, SMA (f), or BNC (f). It is also provided with optical inputs, unique redundancy options for inputs and controllers, and many more extras for ultra-flexibility and reliability.
This switch matrix requires an AC supply from 100 to 240 V and consumes under 130 VA of power.
