The AM3172 from Atlanta Micro is a Digitally Tunable Filter Bank that operates from 20 MHz to 8 GHz. It contains the AM3150, AM3151, and AM3156 digitally tunable filters which have passbands from 20 to 500 MHz (Band 1), 400 MHz to 1.2 GHz (Band 2), 1 to 2.5 GHz (Band 3) and 2 to 8 GHz (Band 4). This filter bank has a band switching speed of 1 μs and an insertion loss of less than 6 dB. It is an excellent front-end preselector for a receiver, providing both low insertion loss and valuable flexibility for tuning center frequency and bandwidth. The filter bank can be controlled via a 16-bit 3-wire SPI interface. It requires a DC supply of 5 V, consumes 20 mA of current and 100 mW of power. It is available in a shielded module that measures 2.4 x 2.1 x 0.65 inches.
