The RFS44 from Signal Hound is a 4-port antenna switch (SP4T) that operates from 100 kHz to 44 GHz. This absorptive USB controlled solid-state switch has ultra-fast switching speed of 20 ns with a rise/fall time of 3 ns. It is based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology and can switch from LF all the way through the Ka-band and can also be used for pseudo-doppler direction-finding applications. The switch can handle an input power of up to 20 dB and provides more than 28 dB of isolation.
This antenna switch utilizes advanced RF architecture design, along with high-quality components, to provide vital features and enable concise data acquisition when switching across varied frequencies in diverse RF environments.
The RFS44 is USB powered and can be controlled via Signal Hounds Spike™ spectrum analysis software. It is available in a housing that measures 104 x 106 x 34 mm and has 2.4 mm/2.92 mm connectors. The switch is ideal for use in automated testing, multi-band sweep, direction finding, antenna polarization, SATCOM, industrial automation, radar and 5G wireless applications. It can also enable multi-band sweeping and direction finding to Signal Hound’s SM435 product line.
