The Endura™ SiT5541 from SiTime is a Precision Super-TCXO that operates from 1 to 60 MHz. It provides an LVCMOS, clipped sinewave output, has a stability-over-temperature of ±10 ppb (from -40°C to 105°C), and delivers a typical frequency slope (ΔF/ΔT) of ±0.5 ppb/°C. This MEMS-based oscillator is resistant to shock and vibration with an acceleration sensitivity of 0.01 ppb/g and provides stable timing in the presence of environmental stressors such as airflow, temperature perturbation, vibration, shock, and EMI. It is ideal for replacing larger and less-robust power-hungry quartz OCXOs in PNT, aerospace-defense networking, and communication systems.
The SiT5541 requires a DC supply of 2.5 V and consumes 110 mW of power. It can be factory-programmed to any combination of frequency, voltage, and pull range, enabling designers to optimize the clock configuration while eliminating the long lead time and customization costs associated with quartz products where each frequency is custom-built. The oscillator features digital control to eliminate frequency shifts caused by board noise.
This oscillator is tested in accordance with MIL-PRF-55310 and MIL-STD-883 standards and is available in a ceramic package that measures 7 x 5 mm. It is suitable for use in defense & aerospace, networking and communication systems, long-range communications, SATCOM, airborne communications, field communications, land mobile radio, and GPS/GNSS modules.
